That's Just the Real Me

Pay no mind to that man behind the curtain.    It's just the real me. Kept inside a seal unbroken, hidden so the world can't see. Inside it's dark. A broken heart. Molded by an unforgiving universe. The outer shell I've had to wear has become a blessing and a curse. Outside I'm scarred. I've been pushed too far. Im angry; I've been to Hell. I fight my fights and lose no sleep at night. To the rest of the world it's just as well. But inside I'm scared. While my fists are bared I tremble in the dark. What did I do to any of you to deserve a broken heart? Until I'm ready to show my soul I'll just stay angry and hurting . Until then, pay no mind to that man behind the curtain.
