There once was a boy named Pat

There once was a boy named Pat

And on the front row he sat

Try as he may

It just wasn't his day

From behind him a boy took his hat

Well Pat turned around all mad

Told the boy he had been bad

Said give it back

All he got was a smack

For this boy was a very mean lad

The teacher had heard the noise

Said only "boys will be boys"

Went back to work

Didn't see the small smirk

As the boy collected all Pat's toys

For the teacher that was that

had handled a very small spat

Later that day

To his mom Pat would say

School was fine but I lost my hat
