The Things I've Noticed

The things I've noticed would certainly go unnoticed
I've inherited the things you've done in the past
Whether that’s good or bad I know it'll last
Every time I think of you I want to cry but then I think about all the happy moments and my cheeks stay dry
The seasons change and people come and go
Little changes here and there but no one really notices
I'm stuck in the past and all the traditions we had
My mind always wonders what if I could go back three years and start over
The things I've noticed
The grass is not always greener on the other side and that's okay
The sky shines brighter with you watching over
The world keeps spinning
And I'm getting older
Once you go through life without a friend it's get harder, so keep closer
The sky is never just blue
And the sun is not in the corner
Situations get harder but life gets brighter

And I get stronger, as the days get longer.
