Things you think I don't notice

Dear Mother,

I'm sorry I am not the perfect one

The girl who you wished I could be

Unfortunately, I am just me

But I would like to take the time to thank you

For everything that you have done

And the things you think I don't notice

Like the sweat and endless hours you put

In the job that keeps taking but never gives

Just to put food on the breaking table

That you try to keep standing

I see the exhaust in your eyes when I ask for your help

But you force a smile and assist me anyways

I see the times you stay up during the gloomy endless nights

You wonder how we will make it

But you always find a way

I see the dissapointment you try to hide when I fail

Yet you still say "I love you"

Thank you for everything you have done

And the things you think I don't notice

Sincerely, the daughter you don't deserve

This poem is about:
Me
My family
