THIRTEEN

Thirteen

So strange being a teen

I was told thirteen was mature, but

what did I know

Fourteen

Another year older

I had gotten taller, but

I felt the same

Fifteen

I finally felt grown

On the inside and out, but

Something was missing

Sixteen

The big milestone

Getting a driver's license

And no "but's" this time!

This poem is about:
Me
