The Three Blind Mice

Tue, 08/01/2017 - 04:09 -- Richay

One was family.

Two was a friend.

The third was all the hopes and dreams

that would soon come to an end.

They scurry around running errands

and doing chores.

They cannot see what has happened

behind their own closed doors.

Along comes another little mouse

as weak as can be.

She is smaller than the others,

and yes, she can see.

She's a fragile thing.

She always does what she is told,

and when the monsters come,

she pretends to be bold.

These three blind mice

assume that she is ok.

While their backs are turned

She's trying to make it go away.

When they look at her,

they still cannot see,

her smile spells "Broken"

as plainly as can be.

One day she went missing.

"Where did the little mouse go?"

See, they were all too blind

and now we'll never know.

One was family.

Two was a friend.

The third was the hopes and dreams

that finally came to an end.
