Through the Eyes of a Dreamer

Through the eyes of a dreamer
Nothing can stand in my way
Soaring high over mountains and oceans
My own little airplane cradling me in the sky
If only I weren’t afraid of heights

Through the eyes of a dreamer
Plunging deep into the watery depths
The fish and sea life are my only company
Rolling waves comfort and lap at the shore
If only I had learned to swim

Through the eyes of a dreamer
My tools are my hands, crafting and molding
Inventing technology or tools or games
No limitations to my discoveries
If only I had the gift of creativity

Through the eyes of a dreamer
Twirling and leaping across the floor
The population my audience, the world my stage
Shining and sparkling beneath the bright lights
If only I could gracefully dance

Through the eyes of a dreamer
I’m a part of a team
Offense and defense, the games we play
Scoring, protecting, saving the day
If only I were athletic enough

Through the eyes of a dreamer
I’m floating through space
The stars are my night lights, showing the way
Counting down they launch us away
If only I were brave

Through the eyes of a dreamer
Nothing can stand in my way
