Tight Rope

Sat, 09/06/2014 - 20:16 -- Kloyde

Where did I come from?

Walking on this tight rope

The wind shakes me

It makes me unsteady

But forward I continue

Where am I?

I cannot see what is below

Nor what is ahead

Behind me is a blur

I can only continue

Where am I going?

I cannot see the end of the rope

Perhaps I will tread for eternity

I have been forced walk this wire

Must I continue?

If I fall do I fail?

Or is downward another path

One that inspires fear in the walker

Yet contains the freedom of choice

I will not continue

I have jumped

Downward I fall

Racing to terminal velocity

By my own decision

I fall to my destiny
