Time Begins To Change Us

Location

In our adolescense, we are the most vulnerable.
So ready to believe the first lie
Because we are too blind and naive to see the big picture.

Not understanding how life can be so crazy
Or how heartbreak can hurt so bad.
I think this is just our way of preparing for the real world,
Where failure is never an option.

We'll deal with the bigger things with so much less time .
We took advantage of it all, dwindling it away as if we'd live forever.
Once upon a time, we were invincible, but now we are always scared.
Scared of what the world will throw at us.

We grow old, only remincing on our youth instead of reliving it.
I guess there just comes a time when we all have to throw in that final towel
And step out of the ring for the last time.
We look over our shoulder and wave goodbye to the life we used to have.
