Time Upon Once: The Ugly Duckling by The Not so Ugly Ducklings

The ugly duckling was no fun

This is why he had no-one.

We didn’t want him to stay with us

Because all he would do was make a fuss.

The Ugly duckling seems in tales to be forced out.

But our nest is small and we could do without.

The ugly duckling is just too big and tall.

We are baby ducks, mommy loves us cause’ we’re small.

Now we are big and we miss our friend the ugly duck.

And we just figured out that we go cluck, cluck.

Eventually we meet him and experience a trick,

We get the last joke because we are chick….ens.

At least we look and also feel that way.

Our brother looks like snow and he is here to stay.

It just goes to show that judging never wins.

And in a world of birds, we share the same kin.

Feather size and color don't really mean a thing.

Each bird can strut their stuff and show off a wing.

Each of us look different and that's the ultimate gift.

Let's embrace each bird, yes let's make that shift.
