Time's Contibution

Location

Time, why did you abandon me?

You purposely and mistakenly left my side

Days come to short, but to many for counting

In myself is where I’ve learned to reside

Time, you’re supposed to heal my wounds

I’m scarred for life

Time has destroyed any chance to bloom

This just is not right

Time, you’ve shown no compassion

I’ve learned to fight to survive

I have spent my life resisting time; one couldn’t imagine

I burn with a desire; sometimes forgetting I’m alive

Time, we cannot compromise

I long for a voice against time

I have to play by your rules; silently accepting my demise

To speak up against time is considered a crime

Time is constant so I am forever oppressed

I continuously search for my place; some say I’m obsessed

Time offers two choices

Continue to search for a voice or remain voiceless
