A Touch of Destiny

The world thinks I’ll splinter to pieces fast.

You shy little girl, can you even fight?

You look like you will crumble from the blast.

But I face a drunken beast every night

and a family fraying at the seams.

I can dodge ev’ry curveball thrown my way

and still charge through all the mountains and streams!

This world is my home, though it’s tough today.

I can endure the pain, the pelts, the lies.

I will prove all the doubters wrong. I’M STRONG.

Ev’ry morn I wake, open my eyes, and

I know blossoming springs will come along!

No one can extinguish the fire in me.

I’m burning bright bold. It’s my Destiny.
