True Ambition

I didn’t know you,

 and then I did.

I didn’t see you,

and then I did.

From miles apart across the nation,

To pushing each other

In the right direction.

Always willing to rediscover

Our paths.

Everything you do

is completely candid.

Your ambition is as true

as the dreams of a kid.

With any altercation

you refuse to make a pother.

But instead, a reconciliation.

Nothing you uncover

is ever out of reach.

It’s just another clue

of what you are amid.

Another opportunity to undo

what others have forbid.
