True Love Shall Never Die

How is it that two lovers once so true,

Could say that they have had their feelings changed?

Never will it be so with me for you,

Never shall my love be swayed or estranged.

And what if all the world was apt to say

That we were destined to never be?

Even if your love was to last but a day,

Never shall my heart, nor love, forget thee!

For what is love but that which never ends

And asks in return nothing for everything?

Such is that love which my heart contends

Shall not fade, nor ever feel deaths cold sting!

Even should all your love for me run dry,

It matters not; true love shall never die.
