The True You

You were so young and naive

blinded and believed what the world said.

They sparked the idea that you were the same

that ... you were no different 

As you got older you began to realize 

that they were wrong about you

Today you are humble and 

intelligent then some

people try to shoot you down

but you always come up strong

not everyone wants to see you make 

it in life but, you keep striving 

for the best.
