The Truth about Society

Society has a priority to make me extinct,

only because I am not of their same skin color and I choose to think

If I was someone who was ignorant and violent,

I would put a smile on their face because this stereotype is not silent

But because I am a Black man who has acquired a taste for knowledge and is born to lead,

they throw everything at me in the book forgetting that at one time they let me hold the keys

When I look back at my past and see the faults that I have made,

i choose to use them as a stepping stone to prolong my call to the grave

If this poem somehow insults those with thin skin,

understand that this is the truth about society that I live in

This poem is about:
Our world
