Twelve Years of School

Location

Life is fragile,

Life is cold,

Life is short,

Or so I’ve been told and told.

I’ve been taught,

I’ve been educated,

I’ve learned,

Soon I’ll have graduated.

And yet I still don’t understand,

And yet I still don’t care,

And yet I still can’t know,

What it’s like out there.

Real life is different,

Real life is “wow”,

Real life is real,

Are you telling me I’ve been fake ‘til now?

I’m stressed,

I’ve misunderstood,

I’m not sure you’ve prepared me,

Like you said you would.
