Twist and Shout

Location

First day of school,

reuniting with old friends.

That's what makes me twist and shout.

Starting the year strong,

and never letting up.

That's what makes me twist and shout.

Knowledge at my fingertips,

just waiting for me to dive in.

That's what makes me twist and shout.

Living the high life,

because I'm finally a senior.

That's what makes me twist and shout.

Standing in a school pep rally,

Surrounded by school spirit.

That's what makes me twist and shout.

My football team,

winning the first game.

That's what makes me twist and shout.

Highschool still here, but barely,

and college around the corner.

That's what makes me twist and shout.

New experiences on their way,

old ones here to stay.

That's what makes me twist and shout.

Graduation isn't close enough,

until it suddenly comes up way to fast.

That's what makes me twist and shout.

Perched on the edge, between my old life and the next.

THAT'S what makes me twist and shout.
