Unattainable: A Sonnet

What would I change if I were allowed to?
I would change the world’s view of beautiful.
How we saw girls today was wrong, I knew.
Remember when beauty was just youthful?
Young girls don’t know how wonderful they are.
Society’s views have adapted wrong.
Beauty should rely on what’s here so far,
and girls should be able to grow up strong.
Makeup and knives don’t need to be used,so
little girls can be unattainable.
Skin and bones defines what we “want”… not curves.
Not all should want to be Secret Angel’s.
Is that all that beauty has come to define?
Some things aren't “meant” for yours or for mine.
