Under a Tree

Location

As I took the time to ponder one day I came across a forgotten thought

That thought was a memory of long ago under a tree

I laid

Stretched out under a breeze I breathed in

And out

Divulging in everything around me

Drifting from sleep to the sweet smell of grass

Drifting to the smell of earth and the smell of the breeze

Drifting to the sound of air whirling and the sunshine swirling

My eyelids heavy

My legs weary and caked in dirt with the journey to this euphoric tree

And so I slept only to wake in a field

Covered in orange, red, and yellow light

Barefoot

We all ran soaking in the light

Laughing at nothing but life

And back to the tents we went to sleep the night away
