To Understand

The clouds held no light,

For there was not another in sight.

Artificial tears fell down her cheeks,

just as carefully as she could speak.

Her hope was lingering.

The stars in her eyes were disappearing.

Envy was circling in her head,

All about that one girl instead.

For it was another gray day in May,

And oh my - had she lost her way.
