Unexpected departure

There was a girl that I once knew

With golden hair and eyes of blue,

Laughter that caused stomach aches

Compassion that could never break.

Friend's and family's hearts would flood

As much as she by her own blood,

Though both are left a type of content

One more than the other she chose to frequent.

The bleakest day came last winter

When the razors were no use to her,

Found by her beloved oak tree

Forever gone she chose to be.

It's often said they've found their peace

The loved are left in disbelief,

Several tears they've had to wipe

To find depression has no type.
