Unknown Essence

Your Love is that of a cool summer night

It drifts in silently, unexpectedly

Creating a soft breeze that floats my hair

Warm currents swirl atop my skin

Humid air softens peach lips

Leaving a sweet natural taste

As if they had just been kissed by honeysuckle

Gentle gusts ripple the calico sheets

While echoing against every corner in the room

A melodious tune, an effortless lullabye

By morning, the song has seceded

The breeze now retired back to the wildflowers

Leaving me unaware of how soothing the summer night was

But it was there, and will return every night more

Until the last leaf falls
