For Us To Forget

The war was bloody

So many lay dead

Fighting for freedom

Fighting for faith

For us to forget.

The land of the free

In God we trust

The home of the brave

All men created equal

All this said

All this believed

For us to forget.

What do we fight for?

What do we live for?

Why do we try?

If we’ll just forget.

Red for blood

Blue for tears

White for sweat

Red for all who died

Blue for all left behind

White for those moving on

A flag tall and proud

Wars fought hard

For us to forget.

Fight men of red

Cry women of blue

Work children of white

And never forget.

People fought for you

So love all the same

People prayed for you

So keep the faith

People died for you

So never forget.

We are America

We are all equal

We are America

Land of the free

And home of the brave

We are America

And in God we trust

Do not forget.

Time for America to go back to it's base.  We were a country of love and faith and we need to be again.
