Without filters my pictures are colorful,
I am free.
I can kiss a girl with no fear,
Paint without judgement,
Dance without embarrassment.
No filters to decide
If I am a girl in a pink frilly dress,
Or a boy in a hoodie or button down,
There is no holding back anymore.
With no mask to wear,
I don’t have to hide.
My words can sound loud,
No longer are they
No more whispering.
Society’s rules can’t stop me now.
I am myself.
