The View from Below

                                               The View from Below

You stand up for what you believe is right,

But the world looks down on you, it's alright

You will face many struggles,

But others look at you and chuckle,

Even, in the face of adversity,

We rise up with positivity,

Although, no good deed goes unpunished,

There is nothing that we can't accomplish,

Stand up and show your voice,

because everyone has a choice.

Rosa Parks stood up for equal opportunity

with this act she created a united community,

Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream,

That black and white can work as a team,

Jesus, himself was mocked,

the forgiveness of sins is what he bought,

If we all stand up together,

we can build friendships that will last forever.
