Voice is Color

Voice is Color

Red is a color,

purple is too,

this is not original,

and neither are you.

If we all have a voice,

a voice we are all meant to use,

I do not understand why

you do not speak differently, too.

Is it because you are afraid of

what you will say?

If it will hurt?

If you will push others away?

Why is red red,

what is it to you?

Do you need colors to feel and

describe what you do?

I do not speak with colors,

I use voices and noise.

I am not afraid of words that

reflect my choice.

So hide behind your Reds and your Blues,

your Purples and Greens and Oranges too.

These are just colors that people have used;

the people who are just people.

The people like you.
