The Walk Off
Location
The pressure is on the line
Our team is down by one in the bottom of the ninth
Runner on third waiting to score
Two outs
I get in the box and wait for a pitch
Ball! Roars the umpire like a lion
Sweat is running down my face
The pitcher is in the stretch
He lifts his leg
The ball with red laces coming at me like a train
I turn on the ball
Crack! As I hear the ball bounce off the bat like a trampoline
Running like a jaguar leaping for its prey
Rounding first base and seeing the ball is in left field
It soars over the fence like an air craft
My heart is filled with honor
A walk off home run to win the game
