The waning sun

The waning sun with a striking color,

We stand rapt in awe of such pure beauty.

No doubt that it has fulfilled its duty

With every passing second, flame now smaller.

The warmth that we forever desire,

It dwindles, falling underneath the sea

And brings such chill. Oh Helios! Please be

On your way, returning with the fire.

I stand here pleading for any answer

Or a true sign amidst this lifeless sky.

Those specks of light have drawn for me Cancer,

Can this sight be the reply to my cry?

For this I know greatness follows amber

If believed we must see beyond the eye.
