Want or Need

When I would go to the store as a child I would always grab something off the shelf and my mom would have the same conversation every time. The same patience in her eyes. The same faded smile. She would ask me if it was a need or just another want that could wait. I find myself asking this same question many times in my life again and again and again. At the store, at the restaurant, when I’m browsing online, but, the truth is, when it comes to you.... I don’t know the answer.
