Water

Red bricks all around me,

but where are we going?

Flashing red lights louder than screaming,

but in my minds eye, water surrounds me.

Sloshing around to the left and to the right,

trying to grasp the moment leaving in flight.

Woke up what they told me, was hours later,

with doctors praising a holy savior.

Seizures take over you, they grasp tight,

while I swim for security in a world out of sight.

Waiting to wake up, but not knowing when,

the power of the brain will surprise me again.

What you think you can do and where you think you will go,

are really pieces of this girl, flying solo.

I choose not to be scared, I chose love over fear,

because I love the capability my mind has, to sustain me.
