Waves of the Sea

The vigorous waves, the powerhouse of the sea

Crashing upon anything in its way

Nothing in this world that it needs to obey

A zealous surge of energy that is alive and free

As a storm rages, as the rain pours heavily

A rise and fall of water continually will replay

Until the storm has nothing left to say

And the waves ease up and give way.

A heavy calm, coming closer to the bay

The whispers of the sea, nearly audible

Speaking most as its life comes to an end

As it hits the sandy shore beneath each ray

Of a burning sun that shines so full

Until the night returns and the moon will ascend.
