We Could Learn a Lot from Trees

Mon, 12/30/2013 - 13:36 -- alkaton

Every leaf

Shakes the hand of another,

For they all share the same branches,

And they all share the same tree.

If every person

Shook the hand of another,

Because they all shared the same countries,

And they all shared the same earth,

Then the world would be a lot like a tree,

And one’s water would be everyone’s water,

And one’s nutrients would be everyone’s nutrients-

No one would dehydrate and no one would starve.

If we took the time to learn from the trees,

There would be no more deaths,

And the world would have no place for wars.

And all would recognize that whatever’s “mine” is also yours.
