We Have What We Came For

I want to make the impossible

Grab ahold and don't let go,

My mind knows which way to turn

The letter of approval is in the mail.

Intermissions coming, but don't leave the stage empty

Let every moment take the last we have what we came for

The plans are out in the news

I'm crossing unmarked waters,

I am where I want to be

People change moment to moment.

Intermissions coming but don't leave the stage empty

Let every moment take the last we have what we came for

The clock in the attic rings again

Broken bird come out its ten

I want to stay awake all night

Listen to the silence of  the sky.

Intermissions coming but don't leave the stage empty

Let every moment take the last we have what we came for

I believe the man with the long beard

Authority stands in the way

The answer is written on my hand

In my pocket sits the crooked key

I'm past the tall door

No rules in sight

Let every moment take the last we have what we came for
