Wedding Dress

Through a series of unfortunate events

I saw you in your sister’s wedding dress.

It was tight around the waist

And covered in lace.

The dress was beautiful,

But you made the world even more so.

It made me think about the future.

A future where you were

Walking down the aisle to me.

A future where I had gotten on one knee.

That used to be what you wanted.

I’m sorry I wasn’t good enough…
