Music that lived and breathed, made you feel and think

Instead of the beat engineered to make you remember

Regurgitate the meaningless words until you're as sick of them as me.

How can one man write a six minute ballad

That forty years later is still called one of the best songs in history

A song of love and loss, personal traumas

Words that tell a story but still linger in your ear.

But it takes 6 times the writers

To make a song that lasts half as long

Reliant on a repetetive hook to latch itself into your mind

Engineered to be remembered, but not real enough to tell a story.

What happened to talent?

A team of writers implementing social trends and psychological science

They don't write feelings, with ink stained from the blood of experience

They put a tumor in your head, 

The words used to be meaningful

Tell a story, describe a situation

They used to make people open their eyes to the world

Now the music will entertain you in the car

But that's all anymore.
