What Happens when a Window Becomes Bare?

What happens when a window becomes bare?

Deprived of lonely security-

Which normally was aided by dull, pitiful curtains,

Will it survive the prodding of light infiltration?

What about the lurking darkness when night draws?

Normally pitch black, now stained with red,

Fiery amongst the darkened blue sky.

The soul is now apparent for all to see,

Yet why is it quivering?

Perhaps it may not be ready to take on the world.

If that is the case,

Should it be covered again with those pitiful curtains?

Or should it be forced to take on these responsibilities?

Why don't you decide....
