What I Do

Location

Time is short

I took the pills

And now it's time for you to know

what I do when I'm down,

or my tank is running low

        I write.

I write every snowy day

And every summer night.

        I write to save

        I write to grow

        I write to show.

And I will still be writing years from now

As death hides in the shadows.

I write to hide my deepest thoughts,

The ones I keep bruied way down

Underneath "important things" that are bogging me down.

        I write to give hope

I write to be friends with those who don't know

what it's like to be loved

or heard

or seen

or consoled.

I write for times when tears need to flow

and when you need to realize how numb

you are to the way you feel.

I write to strech out to you

To make you joyful

And to encourage you to just be you.

        Time is short

the darkness comes

just know that I'm writing for you

and I'm here for all of the times you feel

You feel you can't make it through.
