When I called Mitchell, "Girlfriend"

He thought it was mean

He thought it was rude

Then refused to talk to me.

"I'm gay, call everyone 'Girlfriend'.",

To myself, I muttered

Its just my alternative to "Bro" or "Man"

Thats when I started to wonder,

"To be called a women, and think it an insult,

Is just plain wrong

Because everyone knows
