What a pass!

It's the adrenaline that you feel,

Just enough passion and desire to win

I look around and see dozens of eyes on the court

the same court I'm standing in

This court that hold thousands of emotions, from nervousness to excitment

I anxiously wait for the ball to be served

I watch my opponent carefully,

observe her position, her strength, and her aim

I adjust myself to her, set up and wait for the ball to cross the net

With much speed and force the ball comes my way

MINE, MINE, MINE!

I feel the force of the ball as it rebounds from my arms

"What a great pass!', I hear my teammate say

and suddenly forget all my worries that I had stuck in my mind all day

It's this sport that brings so much joy

Volleyball.
