WHAT IS SEXUALITY ANYWAYS?

The sun beamed down onto me and my friend, quickly melting our popsicles

Tss... tss... tss... we would sit on the steps and watch the sprinkler

He took off his shirt and ran through it

I did the same

STOP! GIRL’S AREN’T SUPPOSED TO DO THAT

My sister was in shock, running to me with a shirt

The bell rang, the doors opened, the breeze rolled in

Everyone ran onto the playground

I followed close behind my friends who all happened to be boys

Little did I know the difference in our genders had any significance

I leaned forward, hands clasped to my knees,

Breathing in and out, in and out

I was so tired from chasing the girl’s around with my friends

YOU CAN’T CATCH ME!

They would giggle

Why was I like that? It’s just a phase...

Who is your crush?

I don’t know

That guy is hot!

Sure…

Don’t worry you’ll find a boyfriend!

No thanks.

Don’t worry you’ll find a good husband!

No thanks.

Are you GAY?

I don’t know.

Lesbian? Bisexual? Pansexual?

I don’t know.

It’s just a phase…

Will you still be my friend?

Will you think of me differently?

Will you still accept me?

Will I go to hell?

Will I ever change?

Will I ever be happy?

Will I ever fit in?

I don’t know, It’s not a phase, but I’m okay with that
