Whats Right for Me?

Chants of slurs follow people

down the streets

through the halls

in jobs

in home.

Places supposed to be sacrad and safe

Turned against them.

Nobody woke up and asked to be called 'Fag'

walking down the sidewalk midtown.

Nobody asked to be followed by a chanting freshman

down the hall

'trap' and 'tranny'

while you stayed quiet on your way to class.

Who would give up their all

their life

their job

just for mentioning a wife

or a husband

or a partner

while someone eaves dropped just a bit too long as just the wrong time

to catch wind

rushing to tell like a child during recess.

Everything is an act of vulnarability in a world so cruel.

To trust a place, a person so much only to be thrown away

cast aside into the streets for two simple words.

Im _________.
