When I See This Critter..

Sun, 09/25/2016 - 12:10 -- ckantor

When I see this critter,

I can’t help but stop being bitter.

For some reason I gain a big smile,

when I think of this animal that some see as vile.

This mammal is truly unique,

including its physique.

Being covered in bony plates

is one of its distinctive traits.

“Little armored one” is what it's called,

it’s hairy underside makes it far from bald.

Nine-banded, giant, pink fairy,

for me species is arbitrary.

It can roll into a ball for protection,

this animal deserves affection.

But wait, I forgot to tell you the name,

“Armadillos are the greatest animals!” I proudly exclaim.
