When I was little ,

I didn’t worry with the troubles of the world .

Now, it’s different

-I am not a little girl .

When I was little ,

I didn’t live with heartaches .

Now , I’m wondering how did I overcome so many heart breaks .

When I was little ,

I didn’t know what death meant.

Now that I’m older I see the dangers of the world , so I repent .

When I was little , 

I didn’t think life was that hard . 

Now , I see it’s important to play the right cards .

When I was little ,

I didn’t think I would get old .

Now , I believe the older people and wise stories they told .

When I was little ,

I didn’t think about writing poems .

Now , I am sitting ,thinking drinking virgin rum.
