When I was mistaken in Crying

I saw the world today

And I felt like crying

Because I saw people burning

And others were so cold even though it was May.

I woke up today and my chest broke

Because I saw a man screaming,

And his girlfriend said "I don't love anymore".

I saw a child that lost his mother

A father that lost his daughter.

I saw a man that lost his job

Crying and begging to a guy named Bob.

I saw a teenager point a knife at himself

Saying 'they are right and I should kill myself'

And I saw the world and I wanted to cry

I closed my window and asked God why

I went to sleep, I want this to be done

I don't want to look at this world anymore.

Or so I thought...

Because the next morning I saw the world

And I was shocked

Because I saw people fighting the flames 'till they were off

And others covering my brothers so they will be warm this May

I woke up and I smiled to the world

Because I saw a man kneeling to apologize

With tears in his eyes

And his girlfriend kissing him

Saying that they should give it another try.

I saw the child at the cemetery talking to his mother

And I couldn’t believe the strength of his smile.

I saw the father holding a photo

of his girl and saying

"You would not believe how happy she was"

And as he remembered the past, laughing

I said he deserved an applause

Because now both had found peace

At the end of this piece.

Now the other man found another job

He is not begging anymore.

How could have Bob have seen

That this guy his competition would be.

I saw the teenager bearing a scar

But you should have seen that his face was as bright as a star.

He loved himself, and now plays guitar

Yeah, I saw the world and I wanted to cry,

Because I didn't understand how awesome it was.

I saw my people using their pain as Lego pieces

Building awesome towers to the sky,

And if they fall,

They don't ask why.

They take the pieces

And build to the sky.

I saw the world blossom

And thought that it was awesome.
