When I'm 18

They tell me many things,
that I already know,
But I want to live my life my own way.

Go to school
they tell me,
But what if I'm not ready?

Buy a car
they tell me,
But what if I don't have the money?

Get a job
they tell me,
But what if I don't have what it takes?

Life rushes by so fast,
But I'd rather slow down and make each day last.
I'd rather live at my own pace,
In my own ways,

When I'm 18.
