Where

Somewhere, oh somewhere

A place where I can go

To have a stranger become a friend

Or a whisper become a voice.

I long for the day

When I can find a pair of hands

To help me with my work

Or a pair of eyes to help me find my way.

But all I see are their shadows

Walking this way, walking the other way,

But never coming towards me,

Always going another direction

With nowhere to go or be.

I just wish the footsteps would stop

And turn their direction towards me.

But, oh I know where they are going,

And they will keep trekking without a stop.
