Where else?

Location

When emotions run high,

And tears overflow,

Where else do I turn?

Where else do I go?

When brave fronts falter,

When walls weaken,

When all good goes,

When bad breaches,

I take up my pen and my page,

And write away all of my pain,

For who else would as willingly listen to my fleeting thoughts?

What other material thing could physically hold the unphysical?

Words written down on a page,

Are no longer in my mind, encaged,

They hold my pain, my suffering, my sorrow,

They hold my joy, my happiness, my tomorrow.

Those words written down on a page,

They are powerful.

Those words written down on a page,

They are meaningful.

A word from me unto another can brighten someone's day,

A sentence from me unto another can chase the fears away,

A paragraph from me unto another can reveal a truth unknown,

A letter from me unto another can bring the wanderer home.
