Which of Us is Flawed?

Location

I was told to write about

An aspect of myself that is worthy of

Respect

And admiration.

But I say,

Every part of me

Is more than worthy.

I may not always seem

The kindest.

I appear to come off

Too strong,

But my intentions

Are pure.

I am not a size

0

1

2

3.

I am not a

Number.

I am

Me.

Society says

I have the right curves

In the wrong places.

My skin is too pale,

Too rough.

My teeth aren't at all

Straight,

But that doesn't stop me

From smiling.

My eyes are

Too wide and bright,

While everyone else's are

Dead,

Their

Blue

Brown

Green eyes shouting

"Is this good enough

Yet?"

My hair is too untamed,

Too frizzy,

Too curly,

In need of a straightener.

I have too many freckles,

Birthmarks,

Constellations

On my skin.

I'm too short,

Too thin,

My features

Too dark.

Too this,

Not enought that.

Too many

Flaws.

I don't look like

Her

Her

Or her.

I look like

Me.

Every

Mark

Vein

Pound

Scar

On me is

Unique

Beautiful

Perfect,

And if you think

Beauty only has to do with

How pleasing my body is

To your eyes,

I am not the one

With flaws.
