Who do you think you are?

If someone asked "Who are you?", what do you say,

You respond with the name given to you on your birth day.

But many people may share that name

And this does not mean that you are the same.

So who are you?

Maybe theres no way to define a person that is true.

A person is not their job or likes

Since that has changed since we were little tikes.

A person is not their GPA or their SAT score,

Defining a person is actually a thing of lore.

A person is not defined by the actions of their past

They must be defined by an attribute that will last.

Something that will live on long after their death

Much like a legacy left after their last breath.

We are defined by something that is uniquely us,

Defined by our soul and spirit which is something we trust

It is the voice in your heads that tells you what needs to be done

Every second even after the setting of the sun.

We are defined by something indescribable

Something strong and not pliable

Something that people just can't put their finger on

And they will still wonder after we are gone

Maybe a person is defined by a combination of these things,

But I think there is more that each person brings.

So here's a question, who do you think you are?

Because in the end that's what sets the bar

You can be whatever you desire

You can be kind and caring or a cheat and a liar

Whoever you decide to be remember that is does not matter

Becasue people are much like a cake batter,

A mix of everything good a bad,

With a secret ingredient that no one else has ever had
